Early November Update

Just a quick update today, since it's a new month. Firstly, I'd like to apologise for being more quiet in recent weeks - I'm in the middle of exams and assignments at uni, which means everything else gets put aside momentarily in the frantic scramble to meet deadlines and finish the year. But there are only four weeks to go, which is great! Terrifying, but great. So things might get a bit quiet around here for a while... and now you know why.

How To Order

I figured I should probably give a better run-down of how to order from this site... so here goes!!

1 - Email me colostrumforme@blogspot.com with your name, address, what you would you like, and absolutely any questions you might have - I'm more than happy to help, and if I don't know the answer, I'll find out!!

2 - I'll answer your questions, we can arrange payment [usually by bank deposit in NZ] and shipping, and once the payment is received I'll send it off. This usually means it will arrive within 1-3 working days within NZ, or if I don't have the product in stock, 3-5 working days after payment. Shipping times and prices vary with overseas payments, depending on destination.

3 - I'll usually send a follow-up email after a couple of weeks to see how it's going and make sure everything is ok.

4 - I can also combine shipping on orders.

Why Alpha Lipid?

Why Alpha Lipid?

Alpha Lipid colostrum is a patented form of bovine colostrum, made by New Image International. Essentially, the colostrum is lipid-coated in a way that enhances absorption - and the speed of absorption - by up to 100%.

What about the cows?

The colostrum comes from cows grown on pesticide-free pastures here in clean, green New Zealand, during the natural three-month calving season. The cows are free from antibiotics and growth hormones, and are not immunised to produce any specific antibodies first - something some other colostrum types are. No calves are harmed in production of Alpha Lipid Colostrum products - if a calf doesn’t get colostrum within 24 hours of birth it can’t live.

Calves need around 20% of the colostrum produced to survive, which is why they get the first fill, and the excess is used to produce Alpha Lipid Colostrum. This is the excess that most farms simply wash down the drain until milk is produced.

Who are you? And how do I get my hands on this stuff?

Who are you?

My name is Erin Young. I’m a 22-year-old student Naturopath, training in Auckland, New Zealand, for a Bachelor of Naturopathy. I’ve been an avid user of natural products my whole life, and when I’m not reading, researching, and studying natural medicine I can be found listening to music, playing music, going to gigs, or writing my novel.

My philosophy

I’ve been taking colostrum for the past year, and have seen fantastic results in people using the product, as well as a major improvement in my own health - the stuff tastes great, and works, so the purpose of this blog is to provide an outlet for interested buyers to read about what's available. I also maintain two secondary sub-blogs to this; the first contains research related to colostrum in general, and the second contains inspiring health-related stories relevant to this site.

I'm naturally sceptical of a lot of health supplements and the claims they make, and lean towards nature in its most intact form for healing the body and mind; I intend to further my study with a diploma in Medical Herbalism, and my personal philosophy on healing is that the closer a product is to nature - using whole foods and 'whole food supplements', as they're known - the better. This is what our bodies have evolved on, and what we should be feeding them to maintain high levels of health and vitality. Which is why I was so excited to come across these products, and to see the results people are getting. Colostrum is a whole food supplement - about as whole a food as you can get! - and the top of my list of 'things to take'.
